Our Apprentice Scheme
Since we started the business in 2002, we have trained 16 apprentices, and to this day we’re proud that most of these people continue to work within Alexander Decorators. Every year, we see more and more apprentices come through our successful initiative, and last year alone, we saw four hard working individuals join the Apprenticeship Programme.
We take an enormous amount of pride in watching young apprentices grow and develop their skills to become accomplished trades people. By injecting young talented people into our business means that we can create the next generation of first class painters, decorators and Ames Tapers that will allow Alexander Decorators to grow for generations to come.
Our Training Academy
With a mix of classroom and on the job training, our four year programme trains and up-skills apprentices across all areas of the painting and decorating trade. To help us grow and achieve this ambitious enterprise, in 2018 we were delighted to launch our very own fully accredited internal training academy.
A part of our commitment to our Apprenticeship programme, our unique training academy will allow us to drive our ambition to create more apprenticeship opportunities for local young people. With the right attitude, and the willingness to learn, Alexander Decorators Training Academy is a unique opportunity for young people to grow their skills and gain employment within the painting and decorating industry.
